"But Nami, no one else wants to!" Luffy whined.
Zoro smirked, eavesdropping on Nami's frustrated reply to Luffy's demand. The smirk grew larger as he heard Luffy refuse to back down.
"Ussop is working on an invention and Sanji and Zoro are too tired. Sanji rolled his eyes at me and said, "I'm exhausted, get out." Pouting for a moment, he continued. "Zoro just grunted and rolled over."
"I don't care. Go back and bother them," Nami said in a clipped tone. "What did they do that made them so tired anyway."
Stiffening for a moment, Zoro started to spring up to in hopes of stopping that damn woman from getting information she could dig her claws into. Information she would never forget and would use to lord over him for weeks.
"Fighting in the store room."
Freezing for a moment, he heard Nami pause and give a disinterested, "Oh," before she turned, looking in Zoro's direction. "Well, he's awake now, go ask him again," she said as she started to walk toward the bunkroom. Luffy scurried over, once again nagging him to explore the island with him. Scowling, Zoro swore before standing up all the way. If he said no, Luffy would probably just start nagging Nami again, and he and Sanji’s “fights” was a bullet Zoro didn’t care to have to dodge again.
