I'm a poor college student. I don't own One Piece
Trying to open one eye, Ace struggled to remember the previous night’s events. It wasn't easy, not with a warm bed trying to compel him back into a long, dreamless sleep. Letting out a tired, "ah," of triumph upon slitting an eye open, he took stock of the small, vaguely familiar room. Feeling his eye slip shut, he once again tried to figure out what had happened that brought him here. Tilting his head back, he managed to grasp onto the memory of a group of marines yelling something about attacking pirates and a building. Something about a building.
Oh. Well then. A building that fell on him. That explained why he was sore, exhausted, and unable to remember much of the evening before's events. Figuring it would probably be a good idea to know where he was and who he was with, he started to sit up, only to have a warm hand push him back down.
Looking up into a concerned eye, the other covered by a fringe of blonde hair, he relaxed, before asking, "Where's Luffy."
"Sleeping. I told Chopper I'd watch you so he could rest for a while," Sanji quietly replied. "He was pretty worried, what with the injuries you had, but Luffy and I told him you'd be fine."
Smiling fuzzily at the man above him, Ace slid his fingers over Sanji's hand, still in place on his chest. Closing his eyes, he let sleep overtake him as he slid down into the warm blankets, holding onto the still warmer hand.
