The parfait was almost too elaborate, with pink pirouette cookies arched into halves of hearts and seemingly every fruit in the stores carved into flowers.

"Sanji-kun," Nami had raised an eyebrow, "you’ve outdone yourself."

Back in the galley, Sanji clutched the tray to his chest and sighed. Nothing could shatter this bliss.

Nothing except Zoro staring at him like that.

"Jealous?"

Zoro shook his head. "Nope."

"What do you want, then?"

"I just think it's funny. And sad, but everything you do is sad."

Sanji set the tray aside and stepped towards where Zoro was sitting. "What?"

"Do you even know that you're doing it?"

A foot swung towards the side of Zoro's head and was parried.

"What the hell do you think you have on me?"

"On Tuesday, I fell asleep early. The next day you gave Nami some blue soda thing."

"And?"

"That night, we both had watch. Next morning, you baked cookies just for her."

"Sometimes I bake things. Where are you going with this?"

Zoro held a hand up. "After getting into the wine after dinner and waking me up, you made her a... what was that thing?"

"Tarte Tatin aux pommes."

"Yeah. So I figured I'd test you--"

"So you hadn't pulled something training?"

"And Nami only got a blue fizzy drink again. Which brings us to last night. And today." Zoro leaned forward, smug. "What I want to know is, is it guilt or denial?"

Sanji looked away. "It's good to know you care so much about her. I seem to have misjudged your consideration for the fairer member of our crew."

"What?"

"I will graciously permit you to assure that Nami gets a grand dessert tonight and every night." Sanji smiled. "No complaints. This is for her."
