Sep. 4th, 2006 08:49 pmHi there. I'm sorta new, but I'm not. Been reading this community for well over a year and joined a good while ago, too. I just didn't feel right talking to all you wonderful people before I'd actually written something.
Title: Incognito
Rating: PG
Word Count: 297
Pairing: Faint Chaka/Pell
Topic: Women (sorta)
Disclaimer: Not mine, Odacchi's
Notes: The thought had been forming in my mind for a while now, and it's somewhat on-topic, too! I was going to write something with Hina first, but this plotbunny totally kicked that other one's ass.
The bar was not too far from the main street. There were no rules against pets in this place, but the owner sometimes felt like there ought to be. Today was one of those days.
"You bring that thing in," he said to a customer who had just walked in with her pet, "You pay for any mess it makes."
She was wearing a hood that covered most of her face, but he could see her lips curve into (what he assumed was) a friendly smile.
"He'll behave," she turned towards the enormous dog, "won't you, darling?"
The bar owner didn’t think the murderous glare the dog shot at its mistress made it look particularly well-behaved, but the lady seemed wealthy, so he figured it was all right and pointed her to a table.
As she sat down, a strand of blue hair fell out from her hood. She tucked it back hurriedly, but the damage was already done; a small group a few tables away had suddenly taken interest in her.
"I think I hate you, darling" the dog whispered.
"This was your idea," she hissed back
"No it wasn't. I only said that Igaram-san doesn't really physically resemble Vivi-sama."
"And I do?"
"It’s not my fault you look so delicate in loose clothes. And I’m the one naked, here."
"I noticed."
There was a sound of chairs being pushed back.
"Here they come," the jackal whispered
The table was suddenly surrounded.
"Wasn't very wise of you to come here all alone, princess," one of them said, "Baroque Works ain't goin' down just 'cause you caught our boss"
A man grabbed the "princess" and spun her around. Then he caught a glimpse of the painted face under the hood, but it was too late for them.
