Title: A Pause for Thought

Topic: Woman
Notes: I was reading a play called "Exonerated", a pregnant woman was referred to, and suddenly: MENTAL IMAGE. No, I don't really understand it either.

The swordsman stops walking.

Next to him, the cook stops as well out of habit. The pause stretches on and Sanji uses the stillness to brace for action of some kind.

Nothing happens.

Sharply: "What is it?"

Softly: "...nothin'"

Sanji traces the line of sight to a dark haired pregnant woman, looking blissfully happy and laughing. Hearts attempt to spawn... but instead he turns a confused look on his companion.

No acknowledgement is forthcoming as the other man begins walking again. The blond opens his mouth, but realizes he doesn't know what he'd ask anyway, and follows his nakama down the street.

Posted because I found the image oddly compelling. Not expecting much of (if any) reaction, but it involved a woman so I figured I'd share.

Oh good! For some reason I saw it really clearly too, but it still decided to come out in very... minimalistic language. So I'm glad you could visualize it and found it sweet!

Yeah this is a random good morning ^____^ But an enjoyable one. It's also and excuse not to finish packing for at least a few more minutes... I move back into school today and while I'm all thrilled about it, I hate packing.

Cause all my art stuff is packed up.

I didn't get it the first round, and I'm pretty sure you didn't mean to imply anything, but I read "dark-haired" and I wondered if it was possible if Zoro was in some way or other thinking about Kuina. I'm a Zoro/Kuina or Tashigi shipper, whut. But eeee it's kind of sweet to see Zoro so rarely contemplative about a subject he normally doesn't even bother to think about.

I was thinking Kuina there too actually, so yay you! Zoro seems like the type to just randomly think of her sometimes, wonder what she might have been. But I don't believe thoughts like: "Hey, she could have a kid," would come along much because I don't see him considering her that way. Therefore, there is much vagueness and pondering.

And of course he's not going to say anything, so Sanji just gets to be puzzled. ^^

That's sorta how I felt when I finished writing it: "Well... something happened... kinda... I think. @_@"

The lack of anything 'momentous' happening almost kept me from sharing, but I'm glad I did because people seem to have found it... something or other. Interesting/peaceful/at-the-very-least different? XD

Maybe he doesn't even know what he was thinking or feeling. Just one of those images that stop you and make you think anything and everything and nothing. Little half-thoughts. I like it. Moments like that are what bloom into philosophy.

To me Zoro seems like the type to respect life and what creates it, but definitely not the type to wax poetic about it, either internal or externally. So he just paused (and thought who-knows-what). ^^

I tend to be a sucker for deep Zoro so I like this side of him; obviously thoughtful, but not overstated about it. Who knows what he actually makes of any of it. ^^

I prefer the nostaligic mood, but I guess I can see how it might come across as sad. Glad you liked it either way! now... you do realize there's no bloody Zoro or outrageous crack in it... right? XD
