Zoro had never been what you might call romantic. Not like that damn love-cook, forever declaring his undying love for Nami, Robin or anything else with tits that happened to pass by. That sort of behaviour was entirely unnecessary in Zoro’s opinion. Usopp knew he loved him. Repeating it over and over again wasn’t going to make it any more true… So why was Usopp currently gazing rather mistily at the love-cook as he handed a rose to a bewildered girl and declaimed: “Ah, Mademoiselle! Your hair has the lustrous sheen of a raven’s wing! And your eyes, mademoiselle! Like two sparkling pools of crystal water!”
“What?” said Zoro, finally, after Usopp had looked pointedly from Sanji to him and back again several times.
“I wish you’d be romantic sometimes, Zoro,” Usopp sighed.
Zoro rolled his eyes. “What’s the point of carrying on like that? You know you’ve got black hair and grey eyes – why’d you need me to compare them to things they don’t look anything like to show you I love you?”
Usopp tutted. “It would just be nice to be told every so often that you still find me attractive.”
Zoro was nonplussed. “But you know I find you attractive,” he objected, scowling. “I wouldn’t feel any different if your hair was blue instead of black. In fact, it doesn’t make any difference to me whether you have hair at all, I’d still bloody well love you, so…” but he stopped because Usopp was smiling up at him.
“What?” he demanded again.
“Oh Zoro bless you!”
Zoro was nonplussed again, but after a moment’s consideration, rather pleased. It seemed he had inadvertently said the right thing. This love thing was confusing sometimes, but when Usopp looked at him like that, he didn’t mind so much.

Really sweet, indeed, Zoro's sincerity is romantic enough ^^
