Oh, hey! I know, le'ss (hic) play...
Sep. 19th, 2006 05:43 pmTitle: Spin the Bottle
Topic: the unconventional approach
Word Count: 300
Rating: Teen, I suppose
Pairing: SanZo fangirl, what do *you* think?
Disclaimer: The characters and setting are not mine. Probably just as well. Look what I did with them! Eek! Here, have them back...
Summary: Drunken kissing games are fun, aren't they? Especially when the girls are playing matchmaker.
Excuse: I was thinking, "You know, the conventional way to make two people admit their mutual attraction is to lock them in a closet or other confined space together. Accidentally, of course." But I don't know a closet door that would stand up to either of the guys in question for more than two seconds, so really, something a little less common is definitely called for.
Of course, the fact that 'I was thinking' is probably enough of a warning and excuse all by itself. ;)
Notes: A standard serving of sake is 180mL (a little over 6oz), and standard potency is 14-17% alcohol per volume (about one and a half standard US-style drinks per serving). That volume equals about five of those little sake cups' worth. Small wonder they call 'one serving' ichi-go, hmm? And all that just to explain the cut-text...

It was entirely too easy for Robin to rig the spin.
And Sanji, drunk, was just suggestible enough. Especially if Nami said so.
Luffy thought it was funny, and Usopp thought it only just, since he'd just been made, oh horrors, to kiss Sanji himself. Which he'd done so quickly, he wanted everyone to know, that nobody had seen (or felt) it. Chopper squealed at that pronouncement, and fell over in a fit of drunken giggles, while Usopp bravely retreated to his hammock to spare himself further incidents.
But no. The bottle clearly pointed between the two girls, directly at the man sitting by the wall. "Just watching," Zoro growled, but Luffy had spoken. Zoro didn't move as Sanji rose to his feet and crossed the floor.
After Sanji was seated again, Robin spun for Zoro -- "Still just watching!" -- and kissed the giggling Doctor herself. Chopper had rubbed noses with Luffy, who'd laid a rather enthusiastic lick on Nami, who'd gone on to drop the tiniest possible peck on Sanji's chin, to the cook's wide-eyed delight.
Sanji's spin, funnily enough, had landed on Zoro again.
What was funniest, really, was how, after Sanji had wobbled over, straddled his lap, and smooched him sloppily for the third spin in a row, and the ninth time altogether that evening, Zoro had not only given up fighting Sanji off, but had gently initiated the next kiss himself.
"Didn't I tell you," Robin asked Nami later that night, "that it would work?"
Nami pouted. "I still say we ought to just lock them in a closet together."
Robin chuckled. "Oh, dear. Longnose-san wouldn't be very happy with that. Cook-san is never separated from his weapons, after all."
"True. But there's nothing to say we can't play Seven Minutes next time, is there?"
