Author's Note: zomg... so wanted to do that as the topic if I ever won but I think I'm just as thrilled to be entering it haha. Anyone mind if I post like 15 stories? Because that's how many ideas I have....

The girl was running around singing hyperly. Smoker didn't even know his sargeant major could get that hyper. He didn't know ANYONE could be that hyper. He was glad to see her recovered emotionally after the strain of Alabasta but really, this had to be pushing it. She was singing. In public. And not at some obnoxious karaoke bar but in the middle of a marketplace.

She'd been begging to go out once they finally landed, apparently two months at sea had given her a mild case of cabin fever but she was a marine officer! She should enjoy the sea not go insane with glee at the sight of land and certainly not skip about spending all of her pay in one day. Nor making her captain carry her bags. Which he was; disgruntledly. If nothing else Smoker was learning a lot about his second-in-command that day, the least of which that she even sang in the first place. Moreso, that Shigure's scabbard was made of seastone and she had no qualms about smacking him on the head when he tried to stay on the ship.

At first he'd been paying a little attention to the lyrics but all he'd been able to catch was the word shopping several times before it broke down into lalalalala.

"Boo!" a young pirate covered his eyes from behind.

"Go away," Smoker growled, "I don't feel like arresting you," knowing full well who had sneaked up on him.

"She's got you whipped, old man," Ace giggled.

Smoker bared his teeth at him in snarl before Tashigi recognized the young pirate, "Ah! Ace-san! Can you carry this for me?" and before he could answer handed him a large white bag.

Smoker chuckled darkly at the pirate sharing his predicament.

"Shut up," Ace growled.
