Ener crested the top of yet another crater, taking a moment to survey his new realm. Fairy vearth hadn’t been quite what he’d expected, but he had reached his goal, and would rule here as he had always intended- with no opposition.
The resistance of native, oddly-rabbit shaped creatures was unexpected, but easily nullified. Neither did the elderly man or his dog pose any threat; sticks now littered uselessly on the now ground. Yes, alone now, he could rule over everything his eyes now beheld from his proper seat of power…
Taking in the endless sea of black around him, he mourned- for a moment, the absence of his chosen disciples- a God should be revered at all times; but they had been deemed unworthy, in their arrogance…
The thought trailed off as he caught a glimpse of something moving- ready to eliminate yet another distraction, he turned and saw… a woman floating by, clutching at her throat. The faintly familiar shape of a white sword was trapped between an arm and the chest of her coat, but regardless of her apparent conquest, it was obvious she wouldn’t last much long-- well that settled that. He watched as she drifted slowly into the endless darkness, and blinked, slowly.
“That was unexpected…”
"Ya..."
Startled, Ener turned to find a painfully underdressed man next to him, also watching after the direction the woman had disappeared into darkness.
"So", he grinned, turning to face him, "you wouldn't happen to have seen a pirate by the name of Blackbeard up here, would you've?"
Blinking again, Ener slowly grinned; Perhaps he would have a worshipper, after all...
