Rating: G
Word Count: 213
Pairing: Zoro-centric
Topic: Music
Zoro sat in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere and waited.
The love cook had sent him out on an errand. Him. On an errand. What was he? The bloody chore boy? He huffed and glanced about him, it would be a while before anyone found him, at least, he hoped so. Quiet moments were hard to come by now that he was living on a ship with some of the most…lively…pirates on the grand line.
He ran a hand through the grass, picking up an especially long blade that had caught his eye. Carefully he split it slightly then arranged it just-so between both hands. He eyed it thoughtfully before glancing around to ensure his privacy.
Slowly he raised it to his lips and blew gently, a brief, high pitched whistle burst forth from the grass blade. He grinned to himself then proceeded to blow again, producing a range of notes before he settled upon a familiar tune.
“That was nice.”
Zoro startled, dropping his grass-instrument and placing a hand on the hilt of Wadou. Usopp grinned apologetically.
“Sorry. Don’t mind me, carry on?”
The last two words were quiet, in pleading tones. Wordlessly Zoro found another blade of grass and set it to his lips, blowing gently.
Because Zoro would be fantastic at this ^^
