I had a funny one for this week, honest. It just... fell through.
Title: Bel Canto
Word Count: 122
Topic: Music
Pairing: Open for interpretation
Rating: PG
Silence has a song. It’s beautiful, in that way that only something truly terrifying can be. It fills air, heavy and still, deafening and oppressive. It echoes with the rhythm of a heart that no longer beats and a last, gasping breath. There are words that should have been said and emotions that should have been poured into notes of passion, desire, and longing. There are remnants of a bass thrum of regret, so deep that it is felt instead of heard. The force of the tremolo leaves him shaking for hours.
Sometimes, when the night is cold and he’s been listening to that song for much too long, he wonders if his requiem will be half as beautiful as his lover’s.

(I think it should be 'echoes with the rhythm OF a heart that no longer beats)
