Zoro paused mid-step. He had just come to take over the nighttime watch duty from his captain. So he wasn’t surprised to find the boy perched on his favorite spot atop the Merry’s figurehead but....

“On my way....Looking for a moment with my dear”

He’d heard Luffy singing before of course, But not like this.

“Full moon waves....Slowly on the surface of the lake”

Usually it was loud, and joyful, and more often then not off-key, with Usopp and Chopper providing additional vocals.

“You were there...Smiling in my arms for all those years”

This was...unexpected.

“What a fool, I don't know 'bout tomorrow. What it's like to be....Ah...”

So all he could do was stand there, watching his captain’s silhouette framed by the bright sea moon...

“I was fool, couldn't let myself to go. Even though I feel...The end”

Reminding him just how young and innocent the boy still was.

“Old love affair.....Floating like a bird resting her wings”

And why he followed him in the first place.

“You were there....”

And why he would keep following him....no mater where it lead.

“Smiling in my arms for all those years”
