Summary: Something's amiss on the Merry, but there isn't anything wrong, exactly. Because if there were something wrong, he'd have heard about it, right?
Excuse: sigh Here, plot-critter, take the muffins already and go play.
Notes: (These notes keep getting longer...) Follows "Close Your Eyes", "Eyes Wide Open", "Number One, Baby", "Dangerous Game", and "See No Evil".

Something was going on. It didn't seem to be hurting anything, although it was making the air on the ship make funny swirls every now and again.
Something between the other men on the Merry. Well, not Chopper, but then, he was the youngest.
But lately? Sanji had been looking at Zoro funny a lot. And Zoro hadn't been snarling at him for it, like he ought to have. They hadn't even been fighting as much in the last couple of weeks. It wasn't right, somehow. They loved to pick at each other.
He knew Usopp had been looking at Sanji oddly, and Zoro had been looking at Usopp, and, well... All right, he'd been spending a lot of time staring at Zoro when his swordsman wasn't looking. There was just something about him.
Well, Zoro was Luffy's first, after all. First crewmate, first nakama, the first one to believe he'd accomplish his dream. That had to mean something, right?
Also? Usopp had come into the bunkroom just now, looking like he'd just seen something horrifying, although he wouldn't say what it was. Which sucked, because if it was horrifying to Usopp, it was probably REALLY COOL, and Luffy definitely wanted to see too. But more to the point, Usopp not telling stories was just as weird as the other two not bickering.
Maybe he ought to talk to Nami about it. If anyone could figure out what was going on, it would be her. Nami was smart, after all.

I kinda want Luffy to see it too. Plus, Usopp's story I'm sure would be terrifying, filled with dark shadows, dramatic music, exclamations of horror, and cocksucking. It'd be AWESOME.

And yeah; Luffy's lack of background info/experience. *sigh*
Mah. I'm just so glad right now that this isn't another fandom of my acquaintance, 'cause then we'd end up with completely switched-around pairings from what I started with.
