Title: Speak No Evil
Topic: peace
Word Count: 300
Rating: Suggestive, but that's all
Pairing: mess/mess (SanZo; Zo/Us; Us/San; San/Lu(?), Lu/Zo, and maybe...)
Disclaimer: Characters and setting? Not mine. Probably just as well. What horrible things I do to them! Eek! Here, have them back, quick...
Summary: Luffy takes his problems to the brain on board. Nami considers.

Excuse: Well, you knew it was coming. I'm gonna blame Yuki, though. :)

Notes: Follows "Close Your Eyes", "Eyes Wide Open", "Number One, Baby", "Dangerous Game", "See No Evil", and "Hear No Evil".

So Luffy had noticed, huh?

She'd have thought all the UST on board would've fixed itself when the two largest purveyors of same had started dealing with it instead. With each other, even. They'd been sneaking off to the anchor deck at least once a day for the past two weeks, now; sometimes more often than that. It was like watching a pair of newlyweds, honestly.

Oh, yes, she knew about that. She'd been a thief, before. Sneaking around was her specialty, and they'd never noticed her peeking (just long enough to see what they were doing, of course; some things she didn't really need, or want, to watch).

It should have helped matters aboard, calmed tempers and eased stresses. She could've done with some peace and quiet, really. But, no. That would have been too easy.

Sanji was, somehow, both overwhelmingly in love with, and not happy about being with Zoro. Zoro was still shooting glances at Usopp, who was still watching Sanji. And Sanji was also spending time gazing soulfully at Luffy -- although that seemed forced -- when he wasn't dragging Zoro off. Luffy, in turn, was paying far too much attention to Zoro, although the captain clearly didn't understand why he was doing so.

"Oh? Why do you think something's wrong, Luffy?"

"Well, Usopp said he 'saw something horrible', but he won't say what it was, and there's something funny about the air around the guys."

"The guys?"

"Uh, huh. Zoro and Usopp and Sanji."

"Oh."

Sanji. Who was standing in the doorway to the anchor deck, looking towards them, his expression vaguely horrified. So Usopp had seen them, huh? And Sanji had heard Luffy's question just now.

Well.

Nami locked gazes with their cook, and declared, "I'm sorry, Luffy. I can't help you with that."

I always knew Nami was a smart girl...For figuring it out - all of it - and for staying weeeeeeell clear of it all ^_^

...I am dying to know how this ends, dammit...

My fault? Sweet. ^^

SANJI HEARD?!?! WHAT DID YOU JUST DO!?! XDDDD

Of course he doesn't know that Nami knows. Which just means he'll get to agonize over the whole thing and tell himself it's more important than ever that he break it off, and of course that'll be all kinds of pain too!

Oh! And he knows Usopp saw, which'll could send him into fits of paranoia about any Usopp/Zoro possibilities. Still curious about what Usopp thinks of all this, btw. ^^

Pretty much still loving all the confusion and pondering how everyone is responding to this. So many points of view to be covered!

This is a very good series and I love how you manage to mix almost the whole crew into this contorted love affair going. It's a love Quadrangle...I think.

I don't blame Nami at all for not wanting to have anything to do with this. It would make anyone go insane.

...and Luffy...well even though he can sense what's going on, he is so oblivious to the actual fact.

Can't wait for more.
