Rating: PG
Word Count: 265
Pairing: Luffy/Zoro, Zoro->Sanji
Topic: Punishment and Reward
Zoro was nothing if not loyal, Luffy knew that. When he made a commitment, he would stick to it through thick and thin. No matter what came along, he would stand by whatever he started with. That was a part of what made him Zoro.
Luffy also knew that this loyalty kept him from being totally happy. Everytime he touched him now, the swordsman would tense, mind thinking of someone else entirely. Then he would look guilty and turn to Luffy with the biggest, fakest smile he had ever seen to try to make him happier. He wasn't too sure when Zoro's focus had shifted, but he did know who it shifted to.
It hurt. He wasn't going to lie. Probably what hurt the most though was that Zoro just wouldn't say anything. Luffy watched him watching someone else all the time now, and he felt that this loyalty was becoming stupid because it kept him from being content.
One day, he jumped on his back like normal, but this time, instead of nuzzling his neck, he leaned close to whisper "Zoro, you should go to him." Zoro twisted around to look him in the face, confused. Luffy smiled and nodded, then kissed him on the cheek before rocketing off somewhere else. Sitting on the deck, Zoro turned his gaze back to the blonde handing out drinks to the ladies and frowned in thought. Luffy sat on his special seat, grinning vacantly out to sea. A good captain made his Nakama happy.
No matter what.
