Dec. 3rd, 2006 01:08 pmTitle: Bad Company Till the Day I Die
Rating: PG-13 (for Zoro's potty mouth)
Word Count: 242
Pairing: ZoLu
Topic: Bad Company
A/N: AU crackness inspired by my friend and her boyfriend
"Company always on the run! Destiny is the rising sun!" Zoro bit back a groan and gripped the steering wheel harder.
"Come on Zoro, sing along! And I can't deny, bad company!" He wasn't too sure how exactly Luffy had gotten to chose the station, but now the kid was singing along at the top of his lungs (and off key) to a song Zoro hated. Looking out the window, he saw the sign for East Street go by for the third time. Great. Now they were lost.
Again.
They were going to be late to lunch. The princess would bitch like a woman while the witch would smirk like she knew more than him. Luffy would do something like grin and laugh and hold his hand when they walked in.
It's not that he minded these shows of affection, it's just that he hated proving the witch right. And he hated it when she demanded her money from their bet. How was he supposed to know that he was going to get attached to the kid?
"C'mon Zoro, last chorus!
Grudgingly, he turned and looked at the younger man's grin, and couldn't help it. Singing softer than Luffy, but singing along all the same, they finished the song together.
"Na Zoro, you joined in!" Luffy beamed.
"Yeah yeah Buddy. Now where the hell is the goddamn Baratie?"
"Take a left."
"There's a house there."
"Left left left!"

I can't even explain why, but I love this part to no end. It's just... Well, I do. =)
And the ending just kills me (probably because I have witnessed this situation too often).
