Topic...Laundry

Well, I thought for a while, and then thought some more, and all I could come up with was...laundry. Perhaps because I really need to do mine. So, the topic for the week is laundry. I know it's weird, but I figured all sorts of story possibilities exist that include laundry.

That is really bizarre to me-- See, an ironic coincidence: Makoto is in China right now, and found me a One Piece poster that she's bringing back for me.

On it, they're doing laundry.

You all better write some good stuff, 'cause now every time I look at my poster, I'm going to think about the writing from this week.

they made that pic into a poster!?! WAAAAH WANT THE HELL NOW!! (at least if it's the pic I think it is, Oda-sensei did this hysterical one of them all doing laundry with colored crocodiles. The best part is they're all doing each other's laundry - Nami is shaking out Luffy's vest, Zoro is trying to get Usopp's overalls away from a croc, Sanji is using a croc as a washboard to scrub one of Nami's shirts...too damn cute.)

I have no idea what the poster looks like-- I don't have it yet. If I talk to her before I get it, I'll ask her if it has colored crocodiles. :p

All she told me is that it's a wonderful picture, and that they're all doing laundry. ^____^

I've been informed that the "poster" is a fold out from inside a magazine she found.

And yes. It does have colored crocodiles in the background. *grins*

I was just thinking about this a few days ago, too. Possibly because of the showers making an appearance in the manga recently, I started thinking about water use. (Plus Usopp carrying the towels...) Man, hiveminds are spooky.

Also, it makes you wonder just who exactly does the laundry, and, if everyone does their own, how often do Luffy and Zoro actually bother to wash their clothes before Nami makes them? And, since they appear to have very little clothing, what the heck do they wear while their normal clothes are being washed?
I always kind of wondered about this. Oda needs to do a full GMG ship schematic or something to answer these questions.
