"Can I sleep in your hammock with you?"
A very sleepy "No." was ignored-- the question, merely a courtesy. The little captain was already crawling into the hammock.
He snuggled into Zoro's chest, making little noises, and generally keeping him awake. Zoro grunted and threw an arm over Rufi, holding him still.
"Quit wiggling."
More little noises, and he was still wriggling.
"Let's play a game, Rufi." Zoro's eyes were still closed as Rufi looked at him, the excitement in his own quickly draining-- Zoro didn't really look like he was in the mood for any games at the moment.
"YAAAAY A GAME!"
"If you can be quieter than me, I'll make sure you get extra meat at dinner."
Rufi's eyes lit up, "YAAAAAAAAY MEAT!"
Zoro chuckled slightly, tightening his hold around his captain. "You're already losing."
Rufi, trying his hardest to be quiet, eventually fell asleep. Zoro was out long before him. This constituted a tie in Zoro's mind, and no extra effort on his part when he woke, explaining to Rufi that it was well known among the crew that he had a tendancy to talk and make noises in his sleep. If he'd fallen asleep, then, clearly, he couldn't have won. Rufi countered with a simple annoyed statement:
"You snore loud enough to wake up dead people!"
Rufi got extra meat at dinner.
