Lurking got Boring x_x
Jul. 3rd, 2007 03:57 pmWell, I guess that’s enough Lurking In The Shadows ™ and not doing anything. Not much of a first post, but yeah….^^;;
*posts and scampers away*
Title: Rousing the Devil
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 300
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji
Topic: "villains"
They’d settled on Sanji, not wanting to deal with that “villainous bastard Roronoa Zoro”.
A sizzling crack broke the tense silence of the bar they’d found themselves in, followed by a cacophony of shattered glass and wood. Zoro shifted out of the way with a malicious smirk as another body whizzed by him, crashing into the crumpled form of his partner, and finished off the rest of his drink before glancing back over at their group. Nami was fine,(if somewhat shaken by the near end of her reign of extortion)as were Franky and Robin, who’d moved to flank her.
The group of bounty hunters had come in looking for an easy mark, and thought they’d found it in the Strawhat’s cook. Sanji had written them off as minor annoyances until the two ringleaders decided to goad him into action by firing at his nakama, and then…
To be fair, the cook was a foul-mouthed idiot with a lousy personality and a shameless doormat for anything that had a pair of tits, but even he was wary of truly pissing Sanji off. Said cook was now standing in the middle of the bar, red shirt taking on a jewel-like quality between the light’s reflection and the burning glow from his leg, radiating pure menace in a palpable aura. Sanji brought the arm that had been hanging at his side up to take a drag of his cigarette (which had conveniently self-lit from the close proximity of his super-heated leg) and let it drop back down, the smoke curling out of his nose in thin tendrils, an unspoken challenge.
“Was there anything else you wanted from me?”
Zoro snorted inwardly. They’d avoided him, and instead drew the very Devil out of Sanji—far more villain than they were prepared for.
