Winner....(Yeah, sure. Make it hard. :p)
Jun. 23rd, 2004 10:15 pmI truly enjoyed many of the entries this week.
I adored huabot's subtleties in Grain of Sand, and I couldn't stop seeing the expressions on Zoro and Sanji's faces when they woke up in Mishagirl's entry. Dethorat's First Encounter really made me feel Zoro's exhaustion but his determination to go along with Rufi (and his hyperactivity) as he'd said he would in a very solid way.
There was so much cuteness this week I thought I was going to die.
In the end, it was a really tough decision between X-parrot's Wake-up Call which was so painfully moving and sweet, and Peach Chan's Somnolent Obiter Dictum
, which really just stuck with me all week, in a very contented way that has settled in the back of my head and refused to budge.
I'm going to have to, after quite a long bit of tough consideration, go with X-Parrot's Wake-up Call. The intensity of Zoro's fear was too tangible to ignore, and Rufi's disappointment was too adorable. ^_^
