Summary: No, it was just never going to work out.

There was just too much between them: lies and denial, pride and anger, quick tempers and harsh words. Sanji's feet and Zoro's blades. Sanji's professions of love for every woman he saw, Zoro's steadfast refusal to profess his love for anyone. There was always too much keeping them apart, too many layers in the way. No, it was never going to work between them, not unless they could peel some of those barriers away.

At the moment, though, Zoro would settle for getting rid of some of the overwhelming amount of clothing that was currently between his skin and Sanji's...

Yes, why work through the barriers of denial, pride, denial, anger, denial, temper, denial, feet,denial, blades, denial, and other complicated emotions when you can just remove your clothes XDDD
