Sanji should definitely do formal more often. That neat little bowtie around his neck just... made the whole ensemble.

And black was definitely a good colour for the fair-skinned man.

The flash of brilliant aquamarine, from the carefully folded silk handkerchief that was tucked with exquisitely-arranged artlessness into the left hip pocket of those skin-tight butter-soft black leather pants? That was a very nice colour on him, too. Even if the tie and hanky were purely afterthoughts.

It was all about the gloves, really.

The gloves he'd ordered specially, just for the blond cook. All the fretting and worry that had gone into them, the stealth he'd had to employ to actually get a proper handprint so they could be made to fit properly, the selection of materials and the search for just the right glover? All completely worthwhile.

Zoro wasn't going to wonder who had thought Sanji needed a miniature whip to dangle enticingly off one delicate-seeming wrist by the thong at the handle, while he tugged the cuff of his glove down over his wrist with his teeth. Or where he'd gotten leather pants, let alone a pair cut like that, or where he'd thought he could wear such an outfit.

In fact, if it weren't for the fact that he'd been instructed, very clearly, not to move (on pain of spending the rest of the evening alone)...

Zoro licked lips suddenly gone dry and decided that those gloves? Were definitely the best birthday present he'd ever gotten.
