Wah, me and omakes this week...
Aug. 22nd, 2007 08:24 pmTitle: Lap Dance?
Topic: playing games
Word Count: 300 + 50
Rating: PG15, I think (language, drinking games, violence)
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji
Disclaimer: Characters and setting? Not mine. Probably just as well. Here, have them back...
Summary: After too long at sea, strange things happen, and the crew needs to find some way to stay amused... And in the omake, Nami has a revelation. :)
Excuse: I... have none. I don't even have a good idea of what I'm doing or what this drabble is supposed to be. I do have a killer headache though. *frowns* The game I wanted to use, which is apparently called "Lap Dance", doesn't work the way I thought it did, either. So if this makes no sense, please tell me.
Notes: I think this might be the prequel to my Drinking Games arc (which you can get to from here). Yes? No? Something?

Sanji wasn't sure where Usopp had found the music box. But he'd had one, so there had been no more excuses.
It was a simple enough game; musical chairs, but if you were out you also took a shot.
Which didn't explain why Zoro was doing so badly. He wasn't drunk.
But Zoro wouldn't steal a chair from Chopper. And he wouldn't take Nami's or Robin's, either. "Not worth arguing with Twinklebrow," he'd explained when Usopp called him on it. "Stupid game anyway," he'd grumped. "Not enough drinking involved."
There was quite enough drinking involved for the rest of the crew, however, and Sanji was having trouble staying in the game enough not to end up with another blinding.
Then Nami had come up with the (shitty brilliant) idea that players who were "out" were to stay, seated, in the circle of chairs.
After that, things quickly slipped into chaos. Usopp faceplanted in Robin's lap (to her enormous amusement), Chopper tripped over the sniper's legs, Luffy tied himself up with a chair, and Sanji himself only escaped a similar fate because Zoro "saved" him by pulling him down to sit. In the swordsman's lap.
Things had degenerated (further) from there.
Somewhere in the brawl that erupted, Luffy managed to unhook himself from the chair, and the ladies took pity on their passed-out crewmates. Robin was the one who actually carted them away, mind, but Nami held the door while they made good their collective escape.
Oddly enough, Zoro dropped his swords as soon as the door latched (in favour of hustling over to bar it). Sanji stared at him, completely flummoxed, while he accomplished this task.
Until Zoro turned with a roguish smile, very deliberately kicked another chair crashingly aside, and cocked his head invitingly.
Oh, it was on now...

"Navigator-san," Robin wondered, "why are you out here, instead of in there beating those two over the head, as you usually do when they get like this?"
"Those jerks locked the door, is why."
"Ah. That doesn't strike you as odd?"
"Now that you mention it," Nami began, thoughtfully.

Date: 2007-08-23 11:48 am (UTC)I love your stuff and this is obviously no exception~! x) The mental image of Zoro yanking Sanji down onto his lap makes for a (very) good chuckle. :D
