It did make sense, Kaku decided, laying on the roof of the judicial tower, to use capture the flag as a training exercise. It was easy enough to rile up the competitive spirit of a bunch of eleven- and twelve-year-old boys.

Competitive boys got creative very, very fast. Some of the strategies his classmates had come up with to hide and find the flags had been impressive. 

And violent; the infirmary was already half-filled with injuries caused by careless—or, he added, allowing himself a grin, careful—rankyaku or shigan. 

Still, when looked at the right way, Capture the Flag was a good, basic mission:  identify and locate the target, work with team to create plan, eliminate obstacles as necessary, eliminate target. If the instructors were lucky, the trainees would remember something from this later on. It was almost perfect.

“There he is!”

It made sense, Kaku repeated, jumping off the tower, his classmates in fast pursuit, but he hated being the flag.

Waaaah, that's a very unique approach to them silly CP9 folks! Plus, I got the mental image of Lucci in a private school uniform, trying to poison his english teacher with an apple (the man corrected his grammar one too many times, I'm afraid...)

Thanks. With all the stuff my friends and I get up to when we play, I figured that people with training in stealth and strategy could definitely use the experience.

... And that just puts me in mind of a One Piece version of Snow White with Lucci as the evil queen.

Luffy would eat the apple.

Even if it was purple with yellow polka dots.

And then Zoro would have to save him but would fall asleep and forget to kiss Luffy so then Sanji would have to step up to the plate but would refuse to kiss Luffy and would keep hitting on "Greedy" (i.e. Nami) and "Sneaky" (i.e. Robin) and then Usopp would come but point out that "Doesn't the princess kinda look like a guy?" and then Chopper would burst in (sparkling, as all animals in Snow White do), crying about Luffy, only then said Luffy would startle awake with a cry of "MEAT!" and things would just go downhill from there.

The CP9 need not assassinate the Strawhats. They'll do it themselves. (Although that certainly won't stop Kaku and Lucci from going undercover as dwarves AAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNND now this analogy's just getting weird... o__o Sorry.)

Don't forget how quickly Franky would put together the glass coffin, with all sorts of cool decorations.

And it's only weird once you start picturing them singing "Hi Ho" and "Whistle While You Work".

Decorations = Weapons/Features (I'm thinking a mini-fish tank at the foot of the coffin + soft plush interior for the deceased + monster truck wheels)/A little glass bell that rings every time someone leans over to kiss Luffy. Y/N?

Def Y. And, dead or no, it's still Luffy. So a fridge. Or some sort of meat storage. And maybe use reinforced glass in the vain hope to avoid Strawhat-related breakage.

... Actually, I can picture Kaku singing the second one just to annoy Lucci. Or at least whistling it.
