“Hey, Chopper!  Come look at this weird fish Luffy caught!”  Chopper scuttled to join Usopp in Thousand Sunny’s new aquarium bar, eyes widening at the large, multi-colored, spined ... thing swimming in the tank. 

“Wow, is that thing even edible?” he asked.

“I dunno, I’ve never seen anything like it before.” Usopp responded.

“...You haven't?” asked Chopper.

“Nope.  Course that’s not surprising, since you’d only see something like that on the Grand Line.  After all, I’d never left my village before joining up with Luffy.”  Chopper’s expression shifted from confused to concerned as Usopp spoke.

“U-usopp?  Who’s the captain of this crew?”

“Luffy is, of course!” Usopp laughed, “Why do you ask?”

“Are you feeling well?”  Chopper looked close to panicking now.

“Well, I do feel kinda dizzy.  And I have a headache.”

”OH NO!  You could have a concussion! Or meningitis!  I need to do a differential diagnosis for personality change!  Go lay down while I do some research!”  With that last shouted order, Chopper ran to the library. 

Whistling, Usopp walked out to the deck where a heavily bandaged Zoro reclined under one of Nami’s trees.

“Coast is clear.” he informed the recuperating swordsman.

“You’re sure?  I don’t wanna get halfway up to the gym just to get dragged back down again.”

“He’ll be busy for a couple of hours.  Don’t forget your half of the deal.”

“Yeah, yeah.” Zoro responded, getting to his feet.  “I’ll help you with target practice after lunch.” 

Usopp grinned, heading down to the infirmary to stick a thermometer in some hot water.  The next few hours would be ...uncomfortable, but he was looking forward to testing Kabuto’s range with the breeze dial.  He just hoped Chopper didn’t think he needed surgery.  He really liked having all of his brain inside his head.     

* Hissatsu Makie is the 'attack' name Zoro used in episode 295 when he was waving Usopp around as a lure for Kaku and Jyabura

Thanks! He's got a launcher in development but until it's done he'll require assistance. Luffy would be easier to bribe but Usopp needs someone with a longer attention span.

Truthful Usopps, like generous Namis, should be regarded with suspicion until the ulterior motive is revealed :D
