Title: RAINBOWS TO CROSS THE SEA
Rating: PG
Word Count: 298
Pairing: Gen (maybe slight zolu?)
Topic: Rainbow
A/N: Um, first time posting, second drabble ever, and THE TITLE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STORY. >.>;; Not a bit. >.>;; Okay, please read. Constructive crit will get you cookies. :D

It had rained that day, but on the grandline, that wasn’t the least bit unusual.

What was unusual were the rainbows.

Mainly the fact that the Sunny-go had crashed into one.

And of course, with the ship in such a precarious position (because who would imagine being stranded on a rainbow?), the captain was nowhere to be found.  Nami sighed to herself. She had tried to stop him, but once Luffy had his mind set on something, he was more stubborn than a mule at being persuaded otherwise.

Strike that, one would have an easier time persuading a mule not to go gallivanting around on a rainbow, because rainbows were not supposed to be solid, and there was telling how long it would last... and then Luffy would have nowhere to fall but open sea. (Which was one of the reasons Zoro had followed him, and as for the other, Nami would keep that to herself.)

Nami sighed as she drummed her fingers across her desk. She could feel the beginnings of a headache coming on. She got up, to see if they were too far gone for her to try to reason with Luffy, no matter how useless, when she saw Robin out of the corner of her eyes, reading something. Something with a bright, gaudy pink cover and a sequined spine.

“…Robin, what’s that?”

“Oh, it’s a book on rainbows. Even though nothing like this seems to have occurred before, there are some interesting legends written up. One that seems particularly interesting is that there is said to be buried treasure at the end of all rainbows.”

“…Treasure?”

And then she was on that damned rainbow, calling after Luffy, because honestly, there was no such thing as too high a risk when it came to treasure.

I could see this happening. Nothing is impossible on the Grand Line and this would most definitely happen.

Lol, I particularly like the solid rainbow thing because you just know that could slot right into OPverse without causing a ripple (hey, they already have solid clouds...) And OF COURSE Luffy would go running off to explore.
