Ha! Bet you didn't see this one coming! XD
May. 8th, 2008 08:17 pmTitle: In Nonac, French does you!
Rating: G and 'sw' for sanji wins D:
Word Count: 293
Pairing: Sanji/Zoro (Sanji to the rescue! *_*)
Topic: Canon (in behaviour) and another, cleverer meaning after the drabble under the cut XD Or at least, me trying to be clever with the topic title :P
A/N: Apologies if my french is bad, I checked it on a translation doodah but it's been a looong time since I frenched.
"Bonjour Mademoiselle, Vous êtes très joli. Est-ce que je peux vous escorter au sujet du marché ? Il y a quelques messieurs suspects dans les environs." Sanji bowed to the girl, glaring at Zoro as he uttered the last few words of his little love speech.
The swordsman could only understand that he was no longer the center of Sanji's attention again from the cooks usual love-sick gibberish.
Robin popped up out of nowhere, 'as she was often wont to do' the green haired man sighed to himself, and gave him a map. Nami stalked over and stuffed both a compass in his hand and a log-pose and explained how the compass worked, as well as pointing out that the log-pose was actually set to the Sunny, and threatened death by bankruptcy should he lose it.
He looked at the map and was about to turn it upside down when Robin corrected him.
'There swordsman san, and remember to keep the log-pose on you at all times." And with that she walked off.
Within two minutes Zoro had lost sight of all of his nakama and was approached by the same young woman the cook had been chirping at earlier.
"Err...excuse me, where am I?"
She giggles. "Nonac, monsieur. Êtes-vous bien?"
"...uh...been? Um no, I'm going, I think..." he lifts up the pose and compass both pointing different directions. "That way?" He points behind himself then frowns as she giggles again.
"Vous avez besoin d'aide?" She asks.
"Je suis désolé pour le dérangement. Cet idiot est le mien. Veuillez nous excuser." A smooth voice says from behind him and takes his arm roughly before roughly dragging him off.
"..."
The cook looks at him, shakes his head and sighs.
"We can't leave you anywhere can we?"
"No." He confirms stiffly and follows the cook home, back to the ship.

*Good day Miss. You are very pretty. May I escort you about the market? There are some questionable gentlemen about."
"Nonac sir. Are you alright?"
"Do you need help?"
"I'm sorry for the trouble. This idiot is mine. Please excuse us."

Date: 2008-05-08 07:52 pm (UTC)Also "vous avez besoin de l'aide" ;) (I never know if it's d'aide or "de l'aide"... not a native speaker, sadly)
But cute!! I like how Sanji calls Zoro "his" idiot. xD

Date: 2008-05-08 10:47 pm (UTC)Cet idiot est le mien.
I love that line so much ♥
I really have a soft spot for Sanji-win fics and here he's winning in french, that's even better 8D
And since french is my first language, "messieurs incertains environ" should be "messieurs suspects dans les environs" and "Vous ont" should be "Vous avez" and the singular form of "messieurs" is "monsieur".
Argh I feel kinda bad to suddenly unlurk and correct your french...

Ah, Zoro. Directionally challenged even with a map, log pose, -and- compass :D Awesome.
