Zoro didn't really get it.

This guy was supposed to be strong right? Somebody that nobody (not even Luffy) wanted to fight. So why, he wondered, why was it that he always had to save this guy's ass?!

On the Grand Line, what were the chances of getting trapped in a thick ass cage made of sea stone with the same stupid ass marine, not once, but twice?! Apparently, Zoro figured, judging by recent events, they were higher than the chances of him getting a decent nap every once in a while.

When help finally came and the water came crashing down, in what Zoro called a painful deja vu, Luffy ordered him to rescue the marine.

"Goddammit Luffy! Why are we saving this guy?! Shouldn't he be able to take care of himself?!"

"But he can't swim! He'll die if we leave him!" More painful deja vu.

"I know that! I'm asking you why!"

He asked, but he had already grabbed the unconscious marine and braced himself for the next large wave that came crashing over their heads.



Later...

Back on the ship, danger extinguished, Zoro napped only to be roughly awoken by Luffy.

"What?!"

"Because Ace is my brother."

And Zoro didn't really get it.

...hahahhahahahhahahahahhahahahha!...now I really need some smokerxace icon...to celebrate of luffy already giving his permission to ace to have a relationship with smoker...that was a sweet things what luffy's done.he really didn't want his brother be sad because his lover died drowning.oh,and yeah,luffy is actually a clever one,of course he already aware first about his brother relationship with smoker..very nice take on the scene,dude ^_^... I like it...

The weird thing is, as far as I know, Smoker and Ace have interacted all of ONE time. Or, at least, that Luffy knows about. But Luffy is very intuitive so it's not too much of a stretch I hope.

definately a very luffy-like concept. i liked it. I agree with redrum-chan in that Luffy is smarter than a lot of ppl give him credit for. I think stark_black said it best in one of her chapters of Memories... Luffy may not be head smart but he was heart smart. exactly!
