Notes: This is so... I'm probably too off topic. And I really don't know what I'm doing. Please forgive me.
Naturalism is a movement in theatre, film, and literature that seeks to replicate a believable everyday reality, as opposed to such movements as Romanticism or Surrealism, in which subjects may receive highly symbolic, idealistic, or even supernatural treatment. Naturalistic works often include uncouth or sordid subject matter. Naturalistic works exposed the dark harshness of life, including poverty, racism, sex, prejudice, disease, prostitution, filth, etc. They were often very pessimistic and frequently criticized for being too blunt. -Naturalism from Wikipedia.

“The smell of garbage was overwhelming as he pushed me down, onto the concrete floor littered with broken shards of glass.
As his shadow cast over me, I heard the singing of passing drunks from the main street. I made a feeble sound in my throat, wanting to attract attention but prevented from doing so by the knife that was prodding the nape of my neck.
Lying on my stomach, I felt helpless as he slowly pulled my pants down. I jerked my head up, crying out as the knife pierced my skin. The chilly night air on my exposed—“

Robin looked up from the book she had been reading, interrupted by the sound of her captains multiple shouts of meat as he prepared to ‘bazooka’ the Sea-king.
She saw Usopp, sweating and stammering on the grass deck, as he rapidly created an explanation of great heroism to the gullible doctor who had accidentally found the Sogeking mask and cloak.
Franky and Brook were singing on the steps; the melody beautiful, but the lyrics confusing.
Dear Nami, who she considered her younger sister, was sunbathing in her bikini as she added to the swordsman’s debt, gathering from the bellies that formed in her eyes and the first mates murderous expression.
An explosion of fire and a frustrated shout came surprisingly from the Galley. Then she remembered that Ace-san was visiting, and fondness for the cook replaced the mild shock she had felt. She wished them all the happiness they deserved.
She sipped on her coffee with an extra hand as she flicked to the next page, and wondered what she was living, if reality was what this book was supposedly based on.
Ngahh!!! I don't think I managed to make the first bit 'naturalism', but I don't know coz I'm a brainless weirdo who hasn't read any literature of that genre...

Hmm... an interesting concept *ponders* I vote that Robin's life is quintessential naturalism. There's lots of tragedy and upset, but there's also silly things and optimism (all of which you've captured very beautifully, by the way). In is my educated (though not in philosophy) opinion that anyone who feels filth, poverty, and cruelty to be our reality needs to be locked in a room with lots of bunnies and puppies.

Thankees for the share-age.
