Although Usopp had always sworn that he was, contrary to all appearances, the kind of man who would rush into danger without a thought to save the ones he loved, deep down he'd never really believed it. But the day he found himself climbing a grapple rope to a flying ship to save their cook from an angry god, he realised he'd been telling the truth the whole time.

That night, when all of it was over, he dreamed that Sanji had rewarded his courage with a kiss.

I guess it's much more harder to be brave, when you know that you aren't superhuman, like the monster trio are. He deserves Zoros respect!!
Skypia is such a UsoSan arc isn't it...

Oh yeah, this is so true. Weirdly enough I can't recall seeing that moment used in any fics before. It's one of my favourite Usopp moments too.
And the way he got off the ship with Nami on the waver right before also shows he understands Sanji really well.

"Are you going to trample on his self-sacrifice?" is roughly how the Swedish translation had it...

(nods) Could well be one of those cases where the Swedish translator is taking liberites, for as far as I can tell, those certainly exist.

We non-Japanesophones can only try to compare and guess...
