Title:  Take Me Away
Rating: Uh, M? Just to be safe...
Pairing:  Zoro/Sanji
Topic:  Guidelines
Word Count:  149
Notes: So this is my ZoSan version of the famous greek mythology, Orpheus and Eurydice (The one where Orpheus goes into the Underworld to take back his wife, but fails at doing so because he looks back at her before leaving). more info on the original mythology.

I would also like to apologise to adaliseranis, for copying (and its not even the first time) her 'dialogue only' style of writing she did. Sincerest apologies to you, wonderful writer. But you'll forgive me, I know. Because you're wonderful and intelligent and a whole lot of other words to describe someone amazing. You'll forgive me. ...right?

Take Me Away

“Why the fuck is it you, shitty swordsman? .
...I mean yeah, I would understand, if it were sweet Nami-san that had pleaded and charmed those gods into releasing me back into the world of the living, but you? Where the fuck are my two beautiful ladies?”
“Has those ‘beautiful ladies’ ever stuck their tongues up your ass?”
“...”
“That’s why it's me that's here, and not them.”

--- A few minutes later---

“…Um, marimo-kun? Turn around.”
“You know I can’t, dart-brow.”
“No, seriously! You’re going the wrong way. I’m not just saying this to make you look back at me. See that thread of light? They’re guidelines, leading us out of this shitty hell-hole. Bastard, you’re still looking the wrong way. See, over here.”
“Stop pulling at me, aho-cook! I’m not supposed to- … Brook? What the hell are you doing here, and why do you have blonde hair?”

Ack! When I read it through the first time, I thought it was Brook. Zoro would never, ever live that down ^_^

It might be dialogue only, but you've done it in all your own style, and with an idea that... *snicker* Words fail in describing it's hilariousness.

I don't know that it would be OOC for Zoro not to recognize him. Zoro seems like a pretty straight-forward guy to me, so if something unexpected happened (that didn't involve someone trying to kill him) I don't think it's unreasonable for him to be confused.

When I thought it was Brook, it was unexpected crack - probably caused by not having had my coffee yet.

I understand. Fandom gives so many different characterizations of them, based on what you think might be possible from what you see in canon... it happens to some of the others, too, but those two are the worst for it, I think.

Hahahahaha, this is so cool! I don't know whether to feel sorrier for Zoro or Sanji... but you're right, Zoro could so not do the Orpheus thing. XD
