Sleep Habits...
Aug. 16th, 2004 11:23 pmTitle: Sleep Habits
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji
Rating: G
Wordcount: 205
Notes: For the "Bad Habits" challenge. Hey, smoking and schmoozing can't be Sanji's only annoying habits, right? Oh and kudos to anyone who gets my semi-obscure reference here. Hahah. I'm a dork.
It was utterly beyond him how some people could not simply go to sleep, stay asleep and then, sometime later, wake up. Just like that. Simple, nothing complicated. No talking or walking or doing things only the waking aught to be doing.
And so Zoro scowled deeply, squinting through the dark of the bunk room, trying to make out the dimly-lit profile of the man who'd just kicked him in the stomach. Kicked him in the stomach and then mumbled something about bacon before flopping an arm heavily across his neck. All without ever waking up.
If only Zoro had been so lucky.
It took a lot to rouse the swordsman, but a swift, sharp, unanticipated heel to the near-groin had been more than enough. And he shoved at Sanji's arm, shaking his shoulder, "Oi, Cook. You -kicked- me," he growled. "Oi! You -kicked- me in the goddamned -stomach-!"
But the blond didn't stir again. Indeed, he seemed quite comfortable pressed up against the swordsman ribs, murmuring unintelligible nothings into his skin.
He couldn't honestly -blame- the man for his clearly oblivious actions... So Zoro did the only thing he -could- do.
He punched Sanji squarely in the jaw, flopped over and began snoring. Loudly.
