Aug. 17th, 2004 12:18 pmIs it kind of weird that my own topic gave me a slew of problems when I was trying to find something to write for this week?
Yeah, it's kind of weird.
I'm a freak.
Anyway, onward! My own silly contribution. :P
Topic: Bad Habits
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 300 exactly
Pairing: ZoSan
Time: 14 mins (19 with edits)
Zoro drank and Sanji smoked.
Sanji hated the way Zoro tasted after he drank, cheap and rotten and acidic, exactly like the alcohol the swordsman poured down his throat like water.
Zoro hated that Sanji smelled acrid, the way the lingering aromas of his fine cooking only partially covered the stink of tobacco on the chef, in his hair, his skin, the deepest parts of his mouth.
They griped and bitched at each other about it all the time, fighting constantly about how Zoro hated the way Sanji smelled and how Sanji hated the way Zoro tasted.
Oddly enough, despite the griping and bitching and fighting, Sanji never stopped tasting Zoro and Zoro never stopped smelling Sanji.
One day, on such an occasion, Nami suggested compromise. “For a stable, long term monogamous relationship,” she had said, managing to hold back a twitter ever so slightly.
But Sanji had only griped about how unstable Zoro was in the first place.
In return, Zoro bitched about how unmonogamous Sanji was.
Sanji sneered that ‘unmonogamous’ wasn’t a word.
Zoro sniped that it just wasn’t a word in Sanji’s vocabulary.
Sanji kicked Zoro.
Zoro punched Sanji.
Nami would have said something in an obligatory attempt to break them up, but instead, watched the fight in calculating silence.
Bad-smelling Sanji bit bad-tasting Zoro, despite his bad-tastingness.
Bad-tasting Zoro had his head shoved up against bad-smelling Sanji’s chest despite his bad-smellingness.
Odds were, despite the bad-tastingness and bad-smellingness, the two of them would be tasting and smelling and a slew of other sense-driven things ten minutes from now when Zoro inadvertently buried his nose against Sanji’s stinky hair and Sanji just as inadvertently bit Zoro on his nasty mouth.
Nami suspected that drinking and smoking barely even began to run the gamut of their unhealthy habits.
