Notes: This didn't come out structured very well.
Somewhere into the third celebratory bottle of pinot noir Ace had forgotten why everyone was celebrating in the first place, or why he had ended up in the kitchen with Sanji talking about the loves of their lives, his cheek on the kitchen counter and his hat on his knees. Sanji was wobbling around, convinced that he was still sober enough to create food.
“… the problem,” Sanji muttered as he fumbled the catch for a cabinet, “With manly men, not that I, have any problem with-”
“They’re not about receiving but giving?”
Sanji regarded Ace with fuzzy surprise. “You read my mind, Ace-san.”
“I have the same problem, you know,” Ace said glumly.
“Ah.” Sanji blinked. “That marine.”
“And each time you try, he gets pissed?”
“Zoro doesn’t get pissed at that,” Sanji said defensively, but under Ace’s arching eyebrow, stumbled back against the huge, locked fridge and muttered, “Okay. Maybe. A little. Goddamnit.”
“And, well, it’s not like the relationship feels, unequal-”
“But just once in a while-”
“Once in a month even-”
“Or just once-”
“It won’t feel like I’m just being a woman.” Ace grinned, lopsided and beginning to drool. “Sanji-san, you’re a, a kindred spirit.”
“Boneheaded miso… misogyn… boneheaded bastards.” Sanji agreed, scratching fine silver lines onto the lock with unsteady fingers. “So what should we do about it?”
“Revenge sex?” Ace tried to leer. Sanji, however, just snorted.
“Yeah, if they’d even notice.”
“True. Not the jealous sort?”
“More like… you know when, you’re, second fiddle, and not even to a person?”
“Swords?”
“Justice?”
“Fuck.” Ace pouted. Sanji poured him another glass of wine. “Goddamnit let’s try anyway. Elope for a couple month’s holiday somewhere.”
“But-”
“We owe it to all ukes who’re second-in-line to objects and abstracts.”
“If you put it that way…”
