Rating: PG
Word Count: 300!! and just BARELY! XD
Pairing: Zoro/Chopper ... because it's just too cute.
Topic: MAN
Chopper to Zoro one day began, “Zoro, what do you think makes a man?”
“A man?” said Zoro (quite deadpan) “You mean like, what makes a man a man?”
“Indeed!” coed Chopper, “A manly man! If anyone can tell me, I know you can!”
Nami, sprawled under the Mikan, giggled quite uproariously behind her fan.
Zoro cleared his throat to answer his friend, but was crudely interrupted by the Straw-Hat clan.
“A tan!” hollered Franky from nearby in the can. “A kick-ass tan! That makes a man!”
Usopp, more reservedly began, “I think perhaps, it’s the ability to plan. A fool proof plan! That makes a man!”
“A plan?” cackled Sanji “A plan made whilst he ran? Is that your concept of a manly man?”
“Perhaps!” cried Usopp “It’s better than say, surplus ability with a frying pan?!”
The cook flung said frying pan, straight from his hand, barely missing the sniper as away he ran.
Then quite against plan, the hurled frying pan, smacked into the face of the snoring Captain.
The Captain of course, as only he can, ignored the whole thing with his short attention span.
Zoro, somewhat calmly, wiped his face with his hand and turned to respond to the little deer-man.
“I think, Chopper, as far as being a man … it’s the strength that you show … to look past yourself and do all you can …
to offer your friends a helping hand. So you’ve got one up on the rest of this clan, which qualifies you as the manliest man …
‘specially the aho with the dumb frying pan.”
Then the reindeer-man just stared at his friend, as the swordsman went back to sleeping again.
A lifetime was lived in a second’s timespan as he curled himself ‘round a rough calloused hand.
EDIT: Double spaced it to make it easier to read!! Ta!! ^__^

Date: 2008-09-02 03:02 am (UTC)This was so adorable! I like my Zoro/Chopper as sweet only, since anything else seems...wrong, somehow. And this was great! (I absolutely loved how it rhymed)!
