notes: not the Usopp effort I wanted to put forth but since I am running out of time for this week...I wanted SOMETHING Usopp at least. Takes place after usopps return.
“You didn’t tell him to wait for me did you?”
“No.”
“You probably told him to not let me come back.”
“Not without an apology.”
“You were angry. Hurt.” Not a question. The silence was heavy. Usopp forced the quiver he felt out of his voice.
“I don’t blame you. I walked away from Luffy, the crew, and especially you too easily. I’m soooo sorry. Forgive me?”
“Did you learn anything? About being a man?”
Usopp nodded firmly. Zoro pulled the sniper into a tight hug.
“Zoro?” He needed to be sure. Needed to know so his heart wouldn’t be broken later, even if he deserved it.
“Just don’t abuse my kindness again…”
Usopp rested his head against his swordsmans chest and sighed in relief. Zoros ‘kindess’ felt and sounded so much like ‘love’.
