Zoro never believed in god, but he never had a problem with people who were religious and believed in it. He just didn’t believe in a man who could keep tabs of everyone in the world to see if their behaving or not or who could change wine into water and stuff…despite seeing some pretty unbelievable stuff since joining Luffy. To him the stuff spoken of in religions sounded more like the kind of thing a child’s parents would tell him or her in order to scare them into behaving.

He didn’t need some stories that may or may not be really true to guide him anywhere; he didn’t need anything other than his promise to Kuina to drive him to his goal.

Yet at the same time he had also been curious and just a bit bored enough to skim around the little black book that held the stories and rules and such.

One line in the book made sure for him that he would never change his views of religion and now actually made him hate it…

“A man who sleeps with another man is an abomination and should be executed”

Has he laid now with his captain in his arms the line in that book came back to him and he felt anger rise within him. Luffy, either cold or sensing something wrong with his boyfriend beyond the haze of sleep, snuggled closer to the green haired swordsmen and wrapped his arms a little tighter around his waist.

Zoro looked down at his captain and smiled, running his fingers through soft black hair before settling down again. Luffy brought light and color into his life and loved him and everything about him. His smile, his strong will, his stubborn habits, even the things about Luffy that annoyed him sometimes he loved. The seventeen year old brought warmth and pleasure to him just being near him.

If such a thing was a sin and made him an abomination that needed to be executed…as far as Zoro was concerned he had only one thought.

Bring out the executioner brave enough to try it..
