My little entry to this week's topic. I needed a break from writing my paper due tomorrow and this is what my break produced.

Title: It's Only a Sin

Pairing: Zoro/Sanji

It was a sin.

That’s all it was.

Sins could be forgiven with a certain amount of work; of penance that would in the end clear whatever wrongs he had done; whatever thoughts and emotions he had that were not suppose to exist in him.

In reality, it was a sin that didn’t embrace him with guilt. He knew it should especially when he was bringing another down to his level, but all he had to do was tell the other that they could work for penance. Pay for what they did wrong.

Although telling the cook it was a sin was more painful than a damned eternity. Not telling him that he would have to pay for what they had done to each other. What they had started and bore between each other night and day, year after year, lifetime after lifetime; this sin that bound them in waiting.

He couldn’t tell Sanji it was a sin, especially when it made everything right; every feeling, fight, laughter, embrace, and moment feel right. Couldn’t...wouldn’t preach to Sanji that he could be saved and be happy for eternity...without him...without his Zoro.

Dragging himself up and out of the blond’s arms, he pushed his bloody arms against the mud and blood ridden ground until he was standing on his feet somewhat steadily. Sanji stood up next to him, holding his arm until the swordsman was ready.

Taking a step forward out of the other’s grasp, he headed to the dock where the ship that would take him back to All Blue with Sanji awaited.

He wouldn’t tell Sanji of their sin. He would simply make a deal with whoever was in charge of sins that he be able to pay for Sanji’s sin in the end as well as his own.

Woah, such drabbles make me depressed. (for some reason drabbles and ficlets are sometimes more powerful and more angsty than your average fic)

But on the other hand it rings true and speaks of so much love... Beautiful done.

^__^ Yeah I feel the same with drabbles and ficlets sometimes.

I kinda wanted the shining and love at the end, just cause it's Zoro and he'll make everything right. ^^ If it makes you feel better I envision a happy ending in this. LOL.

Very much agree - Zoro makes everything all right in the end. He is one of those few characters one can feel totally safe around. (also because he isn't interested in females in any way thus if your dress is ripped and your make-up is smudged - he will truly not care. Probably would only give you a cover to keep you warm. :) )

It really sounds a lot like Zoro's line of thought. Best friend dies, well then he'll just shake the heavens. If he cares about someone he'll take the hits for them. Wonder what Sanji's veiw on this is...

Sanji's view....hmmm...Well he'd probably kick Zoro and tell him he doesn't need him to, and then their would be some "understanding" and more kicking. and...I should write this down, LOL.
