Nov. 12th, 2008 10:55 pm...hi! First time poster to this comm and fandom. 8D But man. Being succinct is incredibly difficult. --headdesks--
Title: Green-eyed Monsters
Rating: PG
Word Count: 180
Pairing: incredibly vague Sanji-->Zoro/Luffy
Topic: was going to be for "sin," but it's over, so... off-topic?
Note: set in the aftermath of Thriller Bark.
"You," Sanji sneers at Zoro's half-dead body, "are an incredible moron."
Zoro's list of vices also includes, but is not limited to, arrogance, laziness, a rotten temper, a complete lack of common sense and, in light of his recent attempted sacrifice, ignorance and a gluttony for punishment. Goddamn masochist.
He can't reprimand Zoro for almost fucking dying, because he'd been ready and willing to do the same for Luffy's sake. But when he's standing here, chewing on the filter of his cigarette and glaring at the stark white of fresh bandages against the daytime-tan of Zoro's skin, Sanji needs something to vent on--anything to quash the helpless anger and fear of an impossible what-if, the irrational jealousy and the guilt that follows.
So he blows a lungful of smoke in Zoro's unconscious face, just to spite him, and turns away.
He can't help but envy that commitment to their captain, in an awful kind of way, and wonders obliquely if--in Zoro's hands--the weight of his three swords now compares at all to a boy's war against the world and the price of a dream.

Date: 2008-11-13 05:36 pm (UTC)Nicely done! I can't remember what this weeks topic is, but even if it doesn't fit with it, this was nicely done. This is double great because it deals with jealous and it's in the aftermath of Thriller Bark (which had scenes wonderful scenes that ZoSan fangirls will always dream of).
Thanks for writing!
