Chopper's Predicament, Sanji, Chopper
Nov. 20th, 2008 12:29 pmTitle: Chopper's Predicament
Topic: Restrained Sanji
Word Count: 351 (bleah)
Rating: G
Pairing: None really.
A/N: Cutting sentences out of Better Luck Next Time made me sad so this is a companion piece with the bits I didn't get use. I have soooo many papers to write right now.
Out of all of them, Sanji was the most difficult patient. When he joined the crew, Chopper had thought for sure that title would go to Zoro who was scary-looking and had bad habits, but, once he managed to get medication in and bandages on the swordsman, it was simple enough to get Zoro to rest and heal. Zoro excelled at resting and healing.
But Sanji...
Sanji always had to being doing something. Judging by how late he stayed up cleaning up after dinner and preparing for the next day and how early he woke up to begin making breakfast, Chopper estimated that, on a good night, Sanji got about 4 hours of sleep. That was not enough for someone who wore himself out with day after day of constant activity - when he wasn't preparing for meals, he was fighting with Zoro; when he wasn't fighting with Zoro, he was cooking meals; when he wasn't cooking meals, he was fighting with Zoro; when he wasn't fighting with Zoro, he was serving his meals; when he wasn't serving his meals, he was fighting with Zoro; when he wasn't fighting with Zoro, he was cooing over the girls and offering them drinks and snacks; when he wasn't cooing over the girls and offering them drinks and snacks, he was fighting with Zoro; when he wasn't fighting with Zoro, he was laughing and joking with Usopp and the doctor; when he wasn't laughing and joking with Usopp and the doctor, he was fighting with Zoro; when he wasn't fighting with Zoro, he was cooking some more...
It made Chopper dizzy.
But he thought that maybe the cook would calm down a bit when he was injured. He was very wrong. The cook was the same as ever, only this time selectively deaf as he always seemed surprised when Chopper scolded him for not resting.
So around the tenth time he caught an injured Sanji in the kitchen, busily chopping away when he should have been sleeping, Chopper just sighed and went to talk to Nami about purchasing quality rope at the next port.

Date: 2008-11-20 11:20 pm (UTC)omg Sanji fights with Zoro a lot. After that paragraph I pictured Sanji's daily planner and it was filled with 'Fight with Zoro' over and over again.
