“Oi! Old man. I’m here for All Blue.”
The older man looked up from his fishing rod to take in the small and obviously close knit pirate group. A handsome young man was a little in front of the others and his restrained grin of a dream about to come true, was reflected unabashedly by the crew at his back.
The fisherman ignored the fact he was just called old despite only being in his thirties.
For a moment it looked so easy. Just go back to fishing…keep the location…keep the mystical oceans presence on the island and it’s secrets to himself.
However, All Blue required a guardian. One who could appreciate its wonder. It deserved that….and this boy was prime.
It took all he had not to give away the first secret of the ocean…to warn the man so coolly demanding his dream with a familiar confidence, that All Blue could only be found once by outsiders and beyond its beauty and promise…it was a curse of solitude.
A curse he was about to pass to another.
“You shitty pirates going after One Piece?”
There was a nod from the captain.
The fisherman plucked a cigarette from the mouth of a nameless crewmate and inhaled deeply.
“Take me aboard as cook and get me to the pirate king…to Luffy, and I’ll leave you with my dream while I chase another.”
