Uh.. Hi you awesome writers! I was just wondering, how much time is there supposed to be between the announcement of a challenge and the judging? I thought it was supposed to be a week but it seems longer than that... anyway keep up the good work!

Judging is on Wednesdays. Usually, in my recollection, it's been as late on Wednesday as the judge can manage, in order to allow for last-minute entries (like, midnight Pacific time or somewhat like that). Sometimes, though, it's earlier in the day (depending on when the judge has time and is awake and soforth).

The new challenge is announced as soon as the winner sees the notification and decides a topic. Sometimes this takes a while, though (because the notification was not-seen, or they have no-idea or like that)...

So, yeah. Usually, it's a week, give or take a few hours.

Information about the comm -- eligibility for judging, word limits, topics, what's welcome here, etc. -- is located on the comm's User Info (http://community.livejournal.com/onepieceyaoi100/profile) page. For all your how-do-I-post-it questions, LiveJournal provides a FAQ (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faq.bml) (also accessible from the 'HELP' button at the top bar). :)

yeah it is usually a week...on Weds for those of us to the left of the international date line. There has been a few exceptions in the community history. A precious weeks winner had disappeared once and there was a day or two before a mod made a ruling.

There was also a time or two in the early days when a week would get NO entries or just one or two...and the mods would allow either topic extension or I believe a new topic chosen.

Embarrassed to say I'm not sure how to do that myself....

I keep meaning to read the FAQ or ask myself...

Wha?!

Maybe I am misunderstanding the question...

do you mean like after all the drabble info the "read more" thing or the writing you press to see the drabble?

Because those are called LJ cuts...
