A/N  : This may be slighty off-topic, but "proposal" can mean "suggestion"! I'm new at this, have mercy!

 

Luffy hadn't asked him to do this. Of course, the boy would never put his nakama's life in danger like that.
 
But Usopp loved his captain more than life itself, so despite having the spine of a noodle, he was willing to do anything  for Luffy's sake.

Usopp inched closer to his target. Just a little closer-



"GET YOUR HANDS OUT OF THAT COOKIE JAR!"

Usopp ducked immediately, expecting a kick to the head from a very angry chef.
Surprisingly, it never came.

Usopp turned, only to see the blonde brooding near the counter. Usopp went over to him, mildly concerned.

"Sanji-- OH MY GOD! ARE YOU POUTING?!"
"Shut up, Longnose."
"...are you okay? Tell me."
"...alright. "

The chef took a deep breath.

"Usopp. The love of my life is on this ship."

Usopp would have rolled his eyes, had he not valued his life so much. Yes, he knew exactly who Sanji must be talking about. Nami. Sanji's delicate tangerine blossom, or whatever.

"Usopp, are you listening?...look, I...just want to be noticed. I've been wearing brand new suits for the past three days but haven't got anything more than a passing glance! I'm at my wits end!"

Usopp pondered this. "You know why nobody notices your new clothes? It's because you always wear the same thing. Blue, blue, blue."

"But I like blue," the young chef protested.

"I know. Here's a proposal. Instead of wearing YOUR favourite colour, why not try wearing your CRUSH'S favourite colour? That way Nami- uh- that person- will be sure to notice you!"

"I suppose I could give it a shot."
"Okay then!"
"...Usopp?"
"Yeah?"
"You can have the cookie."

The next day, Usopp expected to see Sanji wearing orange. Yet, for some reason, the chef was dressed in yellow.

Lol! originally I was gonna make it a SanZo fic...because that's my favourite ever pairing *shrugs* oh well...
