He had been so sure Sanji wouldn’t see it coming but then the bastard had suddenly dodged and followed his momentum with a kick slamming Zoro into the concrete.
“Take a nap Marimo.”
Zoros vision had started to blur but he refused to let it end this way.
“Bastard.”
“Oi. If it’s bad…don’t let them see the body.”
At that the swordsman tried to stand again…but fell back as blackness overtook him.
“See you in the next life, Zoro.”
He came to some time later…
Sanji was in a pool of blood, laying on his back, and even with the puff of smoke wafting from a lit cigarette, Zoro was not sure he was alive. There was too much blood.
“Don’t stare asshole. It’s called manners.”
Zoro pulled the man into his arms ignoring the grunt of pain.
“Idiot. I was supposed to…”
“Like I would let that happen.”
“You look like shit.”
“So do you.”
Zoro hugged the man a little tighter as he lifted him up to get him to Chopper, the blond was going to lose consciousness at any moment and he couldn’t bring himself to say the words he really wanted.
“Zoro…”
Sanji hesitated and the swordsman felt a pang of irritation. It would be pathetic if Sanji said it first considering.
“You owe me a new suit…there is no way the blood will come ouu….” The cooks head fell limply to his shoulder and Zoro spared a small grin as he hurried to deliver him to Chopper.
