Dec. 16th, 2008 12:08 amTitle: All Blue
Word Count: 243
Pairing: Zo/San
Rating: G
Topic: Expectant
Note: Did I mention that I love angst? That’s pretty sad, you’ve been warned.
“Zo-roo…”
“… ”
“Zoro!”
“mmm… ”
“Zoro, we’ve found it!”
“…sleepin’…”
“Zoro. We. Have. Found. IT! The air is different, everything is! We’ve found it, I’m sure!”
Ok, maybe he really needed to wake up. The blond sounded thrilled and wasn’t even insulting him, on the contrary Sanji had just called him by using his actual name. Twice. Maybe more? Didn’t matter. He lazily opened one eye glancing at the beaming smile hovering over his face.
Now he was curious. That was an unusual sight.
The swordsman knew every expression of the fair face but that one by heart. Several years had passed since he last saw it and he realized, by the sudden clench in his chest, that he really had missed that smile.
And he had stopped looking at his eye long time ago as well –too painful–, so he didn’t know why he did look at it then.
He surely wasn’t expecting that expectant glare.
Zoro almost fell from their bed and before wondering how that could be possible he wanted to know what was causing the miracle.
He let the cook drag him on the deck.
Sanji stopped before the railing, his face toward the horizon. He released his hold on him and gripped tightly the wood with slender fingers, his entire frame trembling. His voice sounded light and calm then, almost ethereal in the silent, pale dawn.
“Marimo.” Something normal, at last.
“Tell me how It looks.”

Date: 2008-12-16 01:03 am (UTC)He smiles, the wide smile we know (when he watches someone eating his food, something that he can't do anymore, that's why several years have passed since he last wear that kind of smile) because he's just reached it. Even if he can't see It, he feels that they're in the legendary ocean and he's obviously beyond happiness.
Before reaching All Blue he did smile, I can't picture him moping around all the time, plus he had Zoro at his side :P!
The rest of the crew is asleep 'cause it's pretty early! Someone has already reached his dream, someone not yet.
Sorry for the confusion, English is not my first language!

Date: 2008-12-16 01:06 am (UTC)It is sad that he can't even look at All Blue now that he's find it, but...well, he's got Zoro. Ahhh, now I know the wide smile you're talking about :D He's so adorable when he smiles like that! I'm glad Sanji wasn't completely mopey before he found All Blue ^__^ Sanji deserves happiness.
Okay, that makes me happy to read! I was worried that they had all died or something T_T Nicely done :)

Date: 2008-12-16 01:45 am (UTC)Mopey Sanji is bad, I don't like when they write about him whining, bitching and moping all the time. Yeah, he behave more or less like that sometimes but he's tough and he's a guy, I think that he would face also a tragedy like that with a little despair at the beginning but then with strength and resolution!
Thanks again! ^_^/

Hehe, you're welcome ♥

Date: 2008-12-17 02:57 am (UTC)This is so heart-wrenching, and I made the mistake (or not) of ignoring the warning Y__Y
Anyway, love it!

Date: 2008-12-17 03:27 am (UTC)Once you'd learned where the kitchen stuff is and a bunch of little tricks you can even cook; plus we know Zoro, is so overprotecting that I'm sure he'll keep a constant eye on the blond! ^,-
I would have ignored the warning too, because in the end I love also this heart-wrenching angst. A lot.
And I'm so glad you love that too! Thank you so much! *O*/
