Author's Note: High School AU. Paulie-centric. Free internet cookies to those who can guess the vaguely referenced characters (it's not very hard).

Paulie hated "Foods and Nutrition" class. Hated it beyond all words. He was forced to pick between this and "Band." No way was he going to waste hours of his life with the band geeks, playing some sissy woodwind instrument with that creepy afro-ed music teacher. So he figured, "Hey, how hard could it be?"

Cooking sucks. Paulie couldn't cook worth crap. And if he had known that the class would be full of shamelessly dressed females, save three males: himself, some blonde idiot, and the teacher; he would have taken up "Band" in a heartbeat. But noooo, now he was stuck with the severely underdressed female population of Grand Line High that just wouldn't leave him alone. You'd think that the prescence of the two other males in the room would help, right? Wrong.

The blonde idiot fawned over the girls, so he wasn't helpful. The teacher, with his weirdo mustache and peg leg, tended to kick the boys into shape more than teaching them cooking. The girls, however, he treated respectfully. Even when they were harassing Paulie with their "How's about some sugar?" and "accidental" spilling of random foods upon him and taking it upon themselves to touch him and "clean him off." Yeah. Paulie hated this class.

So Paulie always eyed the clock, waiting for when the dreaded class would end. Just sixty more seconds... Three... Two... One... BRING!!! Woohoo! Class is over! He rushed out of the class, ignoring the mess in his wake, and ran straight into some green-haired guy.

"Oi, don't block the door!"

The student merely raised his eyebrow at Paulie, walked into the room, grabbed the blonde idiot who was fawning over girls, and proceeded to drag him out of the room towards the men's restroom.
