One prompt, one drabble!
Apr. 19th, 2009 10:15 pmTitle: Past, Present and Future – The Second
Word Count: 300
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji
Rating: G
Topic: One
Notes: Sappy? Maybe. And sorry about the recurrent subject, even if Sanji is my favorite character, I’m obsessed with Zoro mind, ‘cause I think it would be very similar to mine. As usual, nothing is mine but my grammar mistakes. Enjoy!
They said three was the perfect number.
Zoro couldn’t agree more, and not because of the stupid religion stuff. He didn’t believe in deities, saints or miracles; he didn’t believe in Numerology and those silly things.
He simply believed in himself: his strength, his courage and his willpower.
Gods were for weaklings.
He didn’t need a guide, someone else’s purposes or principles. He had his dream and he was fighting for it -with his three swords- and following his own ideals, that weren’t so bad in his opinion.
He sure as hell followed them with more discipline than the majority of those who publicly displayed their belief in an unknown god. Sometimes they didn’t even know what they’re talking about. If he believed in God he surely would be better than them, because if you decided to embrace a religion you should be dead serious about it.
He had chosen one path instead, a path he liked to picture through his earrings.
One for his past, in memory of Kuina, who had forged his attitude, his determination and dream. He wouldn’t have been the same without her.
One for the present: his challenge and his goal, the fulfillment of The Dream. That one was for Mihawk. And his Nakama, who were always by his side, supporting and helping him, because they lived his dream as a part of their own.
And one for the future: as much as he hated the notion, a dream wasn’t enough. A dream was nothing without a person with whom you can share the joy of your fulfillment.
So his third earring was for whomever would take that place. Someone with guts, he supposed. Someone strong, confident and… blond, lanky but muscular, with a curly eyebrow…
Yeah, he would look even hotter with his earring.

Date: 2009-04-20 01:17 am (UTC)Ah, sorry if I bother you but how did this senteces sound?
A dream was nothing without a person you can share with the joy of your fulfillment.
I wasn't very sure about the grammar of the whole drabble and I've bitched with this sentences so much...

Date: 2009-04-20 01:29 am (UTC)Hmm...I think it would have sounded better as, "A dream was nothing without a person you can share the joy of fulfillment with." But that's just me, I'm no expert. I thought the grammar was fine in the drabble, no worries!
*kidnaps you*
