De-lurkage!
Apr. 20th, 2009 07:28 pmTitle: Laundry Day
Rating: Uh, PG-13?
Word Count: 320
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji tacked onto the end... not sure if it works or not.
Topic: One
Ahhhhhh!!!! ::runs around in circles:: My first fic ever, please be gentle. And apologies for failing.
Sanji's eyebrow twitched as he considered the list of items he had tossed into the wash, earlier.
Two bleached-cotton tees.
Three white linen long-sleeved shirts.
Six pairs of cotton boxers, white.
Eight and a half pairs of white socks. (Sanji found the missing sock later, inexplicably hanging from a mikan branch.)
And, unbeknownst to him, one bandana, in brilliant red.
Sanji glared at the bandana. The bandana had not the grace to flinch, or look abashed, or burst into flames. It stayed what it was, a square of ever-so-deep crimson - unfair, really, given that it leeched off enough dye to turn the rest of Sanji's whites into a faint, but noticeable, pink.
"Oh hey, Sanji, that's mine - I tossed it in with your stuff, I figured you wouldn't... mind..." Usopp took in the furious gaze, the bandana crushed in hand, a light-pink shirt in the other - and ran.
---
It was Usopp and Sanji's fourth lap around the Going Merry, and salvation came in the form of Robin.
"Now, Cook-san, I'm sure it was just an accident. And Longnose-kun did apologize. Many times."
So many times, in fact, and so loudly, that Zoro woke from his nap, Chopper and Luffy poked their heads out of the boys' room, and Nami looked ready to punch their faces for being such noisy idiots.
Robin nonchalantly examined a pink sock, held up by a disembodied arm. "Besides, I'm sure it would look good on you."
Instantly, pink hearts exploded from Sanji. "Of course, Robin-chan!" Usopp sighed in relief and ignored the rest of Sanji's effusive praise of his Robin-chan's impeccable fashion sense.
He'll just have to get his bandana back later, when Sanji wasn't paying attention.
---
That night, in the galley...
Zoro paused and looked down at the pale body pinned between himself and the table. Sanji, his skin flushed, grunted in frustration as Zoro's hands stopped roaming and sending sparks up Sanji's spine. "What?"
"She's right, you know. You do look pretty good in pink."
