Title: The Scarf
Rating: PG
Word Count:300
Pairing:Mihawk/Crocodile
Topic: knitting
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Crocodile looked at the ugliest scarf he had ever seen that Mihawk had just handed him and had to ask, “What?” He had thought that after years on the Grand Line he would be used to bizarre things, but this was just too weird.
Mihawk shrugged like he handed people these monstrosities everyday. “I made it and thought you’d like it.”
He didn’t know how anyone could like this scarf, it was a combination of puce and tan and to top that off the tassels were pompoms. But what Crocodile really couldn’t get over was, “You knit.”
“There’s not much else to do on my ship besides sleep. Try it on.”
Damn it, he had been hoping to just shove it into his pocket and then discard into the very corner of his closet without ever having to actually wear it. He tried to weasel his way out of it, “It’s a scarf, this is Arabasta.”
One elegant eyebrow raised just a tad as Mihawk replied, “That doesn’t stop you from wearing a fur coat.”
“Fine.” He wrapped the thing around his neck in the most dignified way possible and then didn’t look down to see how stupid he looked before saying, “Let’s go to dinner.” They would be eating in a private room and wouldn’t have to cross through any hallways used by the public so it would be okay if he wore the thing to dinner just to please the other man.
Mihawk followed the taller man through Rain Dinners, no longer able to hide his smirk. Crocodile would probably be more than miffed to learn that Mihawk had actually just learned to knit from Ben so he could give his lover that horribly ugly scarf and make him wear it. He’d have to get a picture somehow.
