This is my first time ever doing this sort of thing (ie, writing a drabble and posting it in a community) but I had so much fun looking over the previous posts that I became "inspired" O_o and decided to give it a whirl. Hope I did this correctly.......
Title: The "Wedding Band" (because I am officially out of creativity ^^ )
Words: 400-ish (I really did try to keep it under 300... I swear!)
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji
Topic: wedding ring
Rating: PG for suggestive content and slight language
Sanji still isn’t quite sure how it happened (although, knowing the damn swordsman, a large amount of booze had most likely been involved) but somehow or another he had ended up engaged to the stupid marimo-head. He was by no means happy to be getting married to Zoro, of course, but his nakama all seemed so excited when they heard about it, and at this point the effort it would require to break off this farce of a marriage was simply not worth it. And then Nami had decided to be generous enough to provide the funds for their wedding at no interest, and Robin and Chopper had gotten involved with the decorating, and there was simply no way Sanji would ever consider letting down the hopes of his dear ladies (and Chopper was oddly adorable as a flower… err, reindeer) so…
Besides, it wasn’t like he hated Zoro. In fact he even kinda liked him… sorta. Maybe. In a manner of speaking.
But he did his best to come to terms with the fact that the marriage was going to happen, and he even kept from fighting with Zoro during the weeks before their wedding… well, for the most part. (It wasn’t Sanji’s fault the swordsman was an inconsiderate, pig-headed boor, after all – some things simply couldn’t be helped.) In fact, by the time the dreaded day finally rolled around, Sanji had actually come to… well, not dread it quite so much. It couldn’t be that bad, surely? He’d simply have to train the marimo a bit, that was all.
So standing at the makeshift altar in front of Luffy, the rest of their nakama looking on, Sanji could do nothing but splutter incoherently as he stared, wide-eyed and blushing, at the large metal ring that Zoro brandished towards him after exchanging their vows. “What?” the swordsman questioned with a smirk, his husband still unable to utter a response, “you said that a wedding ring would get in the way of your cooking. This way you can wear one without having to take it off all the time when you wash your hands. Besides,” and Sanji ground his teeth in furry as the man had the audacity to waggle his eyebrows, “this one is much more functional.”
In the end, kicking Zoro in the balls was much more satisfying than Sanji had expected it to be… even if they did have to postpone their honeymoon for a few days.
